How to Activate SBI Debit Card — All Methods (2026)
Your new State Bank of India (SBI) debit card needs to be activated before use. You can do this via YONO app, net banking, ATM, SMS, or phone — choose whichever is most convenient.

Method 1 — Activate via YONO SBI App
- Open YONO SBI app and log in with mPIN.
- Tap Cards → Debit Card → Activate Debit Card.
- Select the account linked to your new card.
- Enter the last 4 digits of your card number.
- Confirm with OTP sent to your registered mobile.
- Set a 4-digit PIN — your card is now active.

Method 2 — ATM Green PIN Generation
- Visit any SBI ATM with your new card and registered mobile phone.
- Insert card → Select PIN Generation (do not enter any PIN).
- Enter your 11-digit Account Number.
- An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile.
- Enter OTP at ATM and set your new 4-digit PIN.
Method 3 — SMS Activation
From your registered mobile number, send:
MPIN <last 4 digits of account> to 567676
Important: Activate your SBI debit card within 30 days of receipt to avoid automatic blocking.
